The pixel mapping procedure is quick and mine was stated to have the service completed within two hours, as stated on the work order, after I have brought it in. So if you have a Canon digital camera which is still under warranty then don’t hesitate to send them in to your local Canon Service Center to get your hot pixels mapped.

Since then I have longed since to own a digital camera with a good built, perform well in low light condition and produce good image quality, IQ as some people call it, as my next camera.  But knowing that I am just an amateur buying a D-SLR is definitely overkill and therefore I’ve decided to purchased Canon PowerShot G11 as my next camera after seeing many great sample images from Flickr and forums.
