All about me, myself and Everything
Captain simulates real food
We become hungry and in addition possibly more so when our excursions are lengthy.
Then again what exactly do you like to eat? Are you, as a virtual flyer in to snacks, such as nuts and crisps or do you favour to temporarily halt the journey and go get some proper nourishment via the kitchen?
If you are a daily flyer, you fully understand just what to be expecting whenever it comes to standards in the food department, right from cold sandwiches to hot baguettes, from all day breakfast to stuffed chicken, beef, turkey plus even side helpings of salad pertaining to the veggie. With so much available and on offer it can be difficult to really feel anything other than warmth to the airline for going to all this trouble, even when you’re advised now there is a charge to pay.
Quite a few people actually love the airline food on offer whilst others dislike it with a passion, and yes I said Hate not Ate! Do we expect too much when heading on a corporate trip or perhaps flying out for that two week leisure holiday to the Mediterranean? Just consider for a minute, you’re thirty thousand feet off the ground and you have an opportunity to eat! When placed such as that it does sound incredible, yet it is still one thing all of us all take for granted.
Circumstances have evolved for the air travel marketplace, no more days of extremely rich individuals becoming the principal benefactor of such comfort, and that is actually simply the flying never mind the extras you may anticipate when on board the aircraft. In today’s contemporary era everyone can be in a rush to get via A – B with the smallest amount of hassle, many of us all take a look for safety, attention and also hospitality aboard an aircraft and particularly top quality, therefore whenever the modest but deceptively large trolley comes trundling along the centre aisle, it really is one of the Big times all of us have been waiting around for, it’s food time!
This apart, have you ever wondered exactly what the crew consume?
Interestingly, the taste buds connected with the crew are in many cases quite comparable to the traveler, this being basic meals, dished up simply. You can still have the five star cordon bleu treatment on some airlines yet for the majority it’s normally a matter of opening the different wrappers ahead of realising you have no where to set it, therefore this ends up in the magazine rack in front of you.
We have looked at airline food and in particular crew meals. So right here are a pair of examples, see if you could figure out which airlines the food on display applies too.

This appeared to be a pretty special crew meal for all of us, as this flight was the very first flight for (GUESS THE AIRLINE) First A321, reg D-ALAO, leased from Aero Lloyd. The Captain and First Officer brought us two frozen pizzas, and as the “spare” crew member for that flight (I was non-revving just to fly for the day) I got to cook it. Many thanks guys!

Wonderful bit of meat; juicy as well as tender and prepared to perfection! Good char-grilled flavour but not too overpowering. Potato pieces made a nice change from the usual roast-potatoes and the onion gravy really complemented the entire meal. The vegetables were a little “mushy” but the spinach was fab! (GUESS THE AIRLINE)
Did you work out what company the actual respective choices came from?
Well with out giving too much away one was from British Airways and the other Ryan Air. I can leave the rest to your judgement!
If you’re still sat wondering what to have to eat while at your flight simulator, it may be time to pause and put the kettle on…
